	Hand tinting
In the 19th Century before the advent of colour photography the only way to add colour to a image was hand tinting using dyes and pigments. Photofxr and Juraphotos have a long history of using these traditional methods in the restoration of old lantern slides and images

Also worth considering is for us to convert a colour photograph to black and white or Sepia then have say the facial area hand tinted perhaps with some spot lighting applied as well Move your mouse over to see before and after results
